Two Officers Killed By Suspected Bandits In Sokoto State

Suspected Bandits, Operate In Villages Close To Zamfara.

Two police officers have been shot dead by suspected armed bandits in Isa Local Government Area of the state, Sokoto state police command has confirmed today.

The Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Cordelia Nwawe confirmed to TVC through a telephone chat, that the command lost two of its men in a cross fire with suspected bandits in the trouble Isa local government area of the state while the police also killed one of the suspected bandits.

Nwawe said the police are on the trail of the assailants and hopefully will get at them soonest.

The eastern part of Sokoto comprising Wurno, Rabba, Goronyo, Isa, Sabin Birnin, Gada and environs have been experiencing attacks from armed bandits operating in Zamfara state due to their proximity to some Zamfara villages
