Early Morning Tragedy As Tanker Explodes In Lagos State

It was an early morning tragedy today as two persons, a male and a female, have been confirmed dead  after a fire incident that occurred when a truck, loaded with 33,000 litres of petroleum product, fell and caught fire at Barracks Bus Stop, along the Mile 2/Badagry Expressway, Lagos.

Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred around 5am on Wednesday.

Recall that two similar incidents like this have happened in Lagos from the same source, Petroleum tanker explosion and claiming scores of vehicles and lives.

“Four vehicles were involved. A tanker, a truck and two cars. Presently, two persons have been confirmed dead, three others, including the DPO suffered injuries.

“Efforts is ongoing to restore normalcy to the area” he added.
